Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and applying restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and residential structures in the capital.
